If you haven't had a chance to check out the RIVERSIDE DOWNTOWN FARMERS MARKET it is a must do this Saturday. Local farmers bring their best looking (and tasting) fruits and veggies. They have samples of everything. Although the market is on the smaller side, you can still make a half day out of it.
After walking through the market, take a walk around the Mission Inn. If you time it right, you can have lunch at one of the many cafes along main street. I recommend SIMPLE SIMON.
